Following a shoot with Lava La Rue for Joshua Samuels, I was invited the following week to document their birthday event, which took the form of a pub crawl with live performances at each stop. The event was open to fans and friends, with live music and performances throughout the day.
In the lead up, I worked closely with Lava La Rue to develop the visual approach and overall aesthetic for the piece, as well as coordinating logistics and planning for the shoot day. On the day itself, I worked alongside Zarik Cross, filming across two cameras to capture both performance and documentary style coverage of the event as it unfolded.
After the shoot, I led communication with the client to ensure the edit and final outcome aligned with their expectations, overseeing the delivery and refinement of the final video. The project combined live event coverage with music and fashion culture, and strengthened my experience working in fast paced, collaborative environments where documentation and creative direction overlap.
